The barrel of the extruder is a consumption part, but because its price is not cheap, many customers find that after its wear, if the wear is not very serious, they will try to repair it and continue to use it. Today xiaobian for you to introduce how to repair.

Because the hardness of the inner surface of the barrel of the extruder is much higher than that of the screw, the speed of the damage and wear of the barrel is much slower than that of the screw. Most of the time, the damage of the barrel is because the inner diameter of the barrel becomes larger after a long time of wear.

How do we fix this? Repair methods are as follows:

1. When the diameter of the barrel is increased due to wear, if the nitriding layer on the surface still exists, then the inner hole of the barrel can be bored directly, ground into a new diameter size, and the old screw can be replaced by fine cutting. The new screw should match the diameter of the barrel.

2. After the inner diameter of the barrel is processed and trimmed, the alloy is cast again. The size of the alloy should be controlled well, and it should be controlled within 1~2mm.

3. The parts of the extruder barrel wear are not equal, and the wear is serious in the homogenizing section, so the boring dressing method can be adopted in this section, and a nitriding alloy steel bushing can be equipped. The diameter of the internal control can be determined according to the diameter of the screw.

Screw and barrel are very important parts in extrusion machine, the screw is a slender, the threaded rod of the barrel is relatively small and long hole diameter, but the two parts of the production process is complicated, in use process appear wear away, take the way or simply replace new pieces, all should be from the perspective of comparative economic analysis.
